Step 1

Step 2

Now get your screwdrivers and all the needed equipment and detach the outer casing of your cooling unit. Please make sure you do this carefully and patiently. Also, ensure that you open the unit from the top.

Step 3

Once you have successfully opened up the AC unit, clean and clean the AC fan blades and its shaft. You can use a rag or vacuum cleaner to do the cleaning. When you are done a cleaning, lubricate the motor of the AC fan.

Now clean off the dirt on the surface of the air conditioner coil with a brush or even a broom. Now use a vacuum cleaner to remove hidden dirt in between the coil. It is also better if you use a spray cleaner for the cleaning of the hidden dirt. Step 5

Rinse off the foams of the spray cleaner from the coil and inspect it if it is clean enough. If it is not clean enough repeat step 4. But if it is clean enough, gently place everything back into the casing and screw it tightly as it was before you opened.
