Why do I need my ducts cleaned?

How do you clean the duct?

Air Conditioning Boca Raton has two services for air duct cleaning. The first is basic. First we close all the vents in your home, then we use a high powered HEPA vacuum and connect it to the main duct of the home. It gives out positive and negative electron charges which loosen and free all the loose dirt, dust, and debris from all of the air ducts in your home. There is no need to hook the machine up to every duct because the vacuum has the power to suck up to 15 vents in a single use. This can take anywhere from 20 min to an hour and a half depending on the intensity of the cleaning.

The second procedure is an intensive cleaning. The intensive clean is very similar to the basic air duct cleaning. The difference is, the HEPA vacuum gets connected to every duct and we open every vent individually. In addition, we sanitize the duct system to ensure all bacteria and fungi are eliminated and or removed from your home’s air duct system.

How often should you have your air ducts cleaned?

Depends on these factors- you should get your air ducts cleaned every 6 months if these factors apply to you:

• Smoker resident or previous owners were smokers
• Pets
• Renovation or repair inside the home
• Very high allergens
• You just moved in
• Never had it done before

If none of these factors apply to you, then you should have your ducts cleaned once every 1 to 3 years.
